Aug. 27, 2018 – Celebration Pointe, north central Florida’s premier mixed-use development prominently located at I-75 and Archer Road in Gainesville, today announced a series of family-friendly ‘Chomp The Block’ parties with great food, drinks, live music, games and more every Friday before Florida Gators Home Football Games. Each Friday night will also include a pep-rally portion of the program complete with Gators spirit squad.
“When neighbors get together for block parties, the atmosphere is fun and friendly, which is the spirit we will capture for Gators’ fans with these Friday night parties,” said Sean McIntosh, Vice President of Asset Management, Celebration Pointe. “The Celebration Pointe City Walk promenade is a perfect location for these events with its open layout and pedestrian-only accessibility.”
The first ‘Chomp The Block’ party will be held on Friday, August 31 (6-10pm). There will be food and beverages at Celebration Pointe restaurants, plus food trucks, lawn games, and live music featuring the Tom Petty tribute band, Heavy Petty. The event will also celebrate 30 years of the voice of the Florida Gators, honoring Mick Hubertwith special guest and Gators Ambassador Steve Spurrier.
Celebration Pointe recently announced a comprehensive partnership program with the Florida Gators. In addition to ‘Chomp The Block’ parties, the agreement includes Celebration Pointe hosting Gator Talk radio shows with Florida football and basketball coaches.
