August 22, 2018 – Eleven days, 10 venues, and over 200 performing artists. All free and open to the public. This is the Sing Out Loud Festival, one of the largest free music festivals in Northeast Florida. The Sing Out Loud Music Festival brings hundreds of live performances to the greater St. Augustine and Ponte Vedra area. Sing Out Loud is an epic celebration of live entertainment in a convergence of musical genres over four weekends September 1 – 23. And it’s all free! Along with the hundreds of musical performances in September, the city of St. Augustine is celebrating 453 years of history. As the oldest continually occupied European settlement in North America, the annual re-enactment of the founding of St. Augustine in 1565 by Spanish explorer Pedro Menendez’s takes place September 8. This living history demonstration of the landing is celebrated with festivities at the Mission Nombre de Diós and the Fountain of Youth Archaeological Park.
