Dec. 7, 2017 – GlobeNet, a wholesale provider of telecom infrastructure in the Americas, announces today that it has been named the Best Regional Wholesale Operator at the 2017 World Communication Awards. Established in 1999, the awards recognize excellence among global telecom operators.
“We couldn’t be happier to come away with the Best Regional Wholesale Operator award,” says Eduardo Falzoni, CEO at GlobeNet. “Since the start of the year, we have been investing continuously in both infrastructure upgrades and in training our people to ensure individuals are equipped with the knowledge and skills to assure we can meet the quality requests and growing demands of businesses across the Americas. Our win cements our position as a trusted business partner that is dedicated to giving our clients the solutions they need to access new markets successfully.”
According to the judgement panel, GlobeNet received the award thanks to its “faultless support for hundreds of millions watching the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.” From the company’s detailed case study submissions, the panel concluded that “GlobeNet provides a high-capacity, independent and open platform across the Americas that delivers the highest redundancy levels in the region.”
Most recently, the company celebrated the inauguration of its new, Tier III data center in Barranquilla, Colombia. GlobeNet undertook its investment in new infrastructure as a response to growing Latin American demand for IaaS, IP transit and secure data services.
The Best Regional Wholesale Operator award highlights GlobeNet’s steadfast quest to provide quality services in the Americas.
