Nov. 20, 2017 – G4S Secure Solutions (USA), the leading integrated security provider in the United States, was named Outstanding Philanthropic Corporation by the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) of Palm Beach County. The AFP represents more than 30,000 members in 200 chapters throughout the world, advancing philanthropy through advocacy, education and certification programs. G4S was recognized for the impact the company and its workforce have made on local communities.
“We believe in giving back to our communities and we are honored to be recognized,” said Drew Levine, President G4S Secure Solutions North America. “Whether they use our Match-It! Program to double the money they raise for charity or join colleagues at a Habitat for Humanity build, we support the impact that our employees make when they support good causes in their local communities.”
In South Florida, G4S has been significantly involved, sponsoring Habitat for Humanity home builds since 2013 and the G4S Cycling team in charitable rides since 2008. On Nov. 4, G4S hosted its 21st annual Golf Tournament, raising more than $130,000. Proceeds from the event support organizations nationally and locally, including Gold Coast Down Syndrome, military support organizations and cancer foundations. All told, G4S has donated nearly $3 million and thousands of hours to charitable organizations across the country.
In addition to corporate giving, G4S supports employees’ individual philanthropic efforts through its G4S Match-It! program, matching funds raised (up to $500) for charities or community causes. Since 2013, has matched $32,816 of the $90,000 raised by employees.
