A Unique, Precision-cut and Eco-friendly Eyewear Line, Word-Worx Co., Launches Kickstarter Campaign

Oct. 24, 2017 – Wood-Worx Co., a full-service, Destin, Florida-based boutique design and development agency that places special focus on using environmentally friendly methods for a direct sale-to-consumers worldwide, this morning announced they have officially launched their Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign for raising the necessary funds to keep their eyewear unique, quality, and eye-catching.


On a mission to help restore vision for those in need around the world, Wood-Worx Co. has also partnered with a nonprofit organization, RestoringVision, to donate glasses to those in developing countries with no access to reliable glasses.

“We take access to professionally supported eyewear here in America for granted,” said Nicolas Pintozzi, Founder and Owner of Wood-Worx Co. “In other nations, individuals with vision impairment that varies from mild to severe cannot acquire the eyewear they need to live a safe and productive life every day. That’s why we feel so passionately about working with RestoringVision. For every pair of sunglasses sold, we’ll donate three pairs of reading glasses to individuals in developing nations.”

Wood-Worx Co. hopes the reading glasses will serve as a foundation for the individuals, restoring their confidence and providing them with the ability to work any kind of job reliably and safely.

As a socially and environmentally conscious company, Wood-Worx Co. makes all of its products with sustainable materials, relying mainly on wood as its foundational resource. Shade styles available through the crowdfunding campaign include: Legacy, Plymouth, Atlas, Selby, and Waseca. Materials used in the expert design and finishing of the glasses include: Zebrawood, Ebony, Walnut, Rosewood, and Maple.

Wood-Worx Co. is aiming to raise $6,500 through the crowdfunding campaign. This money is designed to cover the production costs so the startup can work on a direct production-to-consumer model without involving middlemen. As a result, Wood-Worx Co. can guarantee glasses that won’t break the bank in the mean time.

“We’re removing the middlemen so unnecessary fees and costs can remain out of the production equation,” said Pintozzi. “In doing so, we’re able to create an online business that not only promotes environmental friendliness, but also strives to make a difference in the life of others.
