May 22, 2017 – Amazing Explorers Academy™, one of the newest and most innovative educational preschools, will continue to expand its STEM based curriculum program, with the opening of a franchise in Winter Park, Florida, a suburb of Orlando. The school will mark the second franchise announcement for the company and will be located in the newly renovated The Grove at Winter Park. The school’s first franchise will open in the popular Orlando neighborhood of Lake Nona in a few months.
The 12,000-square-foot Amazing Explorers Academy Winter Park™ will boast 5,000 square feet of exterior playground space and will open in September with a capacity of 200 students. Amazing Explorers Academy™ came on the educational preschool scene in 2015 with the launch of its first school in Oviedo, FL, also an Orlando suburb. The school, which quickly filled to capacity, was based on the concept of a task force, led by University of Central Florida professors and researchers who helped develop a new education approach to redefine the next generation. Including entrepreneurs, technology experts and community leaders the task force identified new challenges facing the early childhood industry.
The AEA program prides itself on its engagement with children and their families to prepare them for life in the 21st century and beyond using hands on STEM exploration to inspire, connect and engage the youngest minds already immersed in a technologically connected world. All locations include L’Atelier, a fully digital technology & art studio inspired by the Reggio Schools in Italy. Modeled after 21st century collaborative spaces, such as Apple, Google and Pixar, preschoolers design, engage and create projects using multimedia, early programming, robotics and early coding skills.
