April 25, 2017 – The Craig Zinn Automotive Group, South Florida’s Premier Auto Group, held a Check Presentation Ceremony and presented The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Southern Florida Chapter with a donation check amounting to $150,938, from proceeds raised through the Subaru of Pembroke Pines Share the Love campaign.
Held at the end of each year, Subaru donates $250 for every new Subaru vehicle sold or leased to one of several national or local charities. For the last three years, Craig and Martine Zinn and the Craig Zinn Automotive Group (CZAG), which owns and operates Subaru of Pembroke Pines, have participated in the Share the Love Program, raising funds for local charities. This year, Subaru of Pembroke Pines selected The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Southern Florida Chapter as their beneficiary. The gift will help fund The LLS mission to cure Leukemia, Lymphoma, Hodgkin’s Disease, Myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families.
It was an extraordinary day for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, the Zinn Family, Subaru of Pembroke Pines and the Subaru of America leadership team. Many local business and community leaders were in attendance, as well as Brayden, a three-year-old survivor who came to the event with his parents to personally thank the (CZAG). Broward County Mayor Barbara Sharief presented Martine and Craig Zinn with a Proclamation declaring “Subaru of Pembroke Pines Day” in Broward County. Mayor Frank Ortis presented a Proclamation declaring “Craig Zinn Day” in the City of Pembroke Pines, and U.S. Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz’s District Director gave Mr. and Mrs. Zinn a Congratulatory Note from U.S. Congress District 23.
Since the inception of the local Share the Love Promise three years ago, the Subaru of Pembroke Pines and the Zinn family’s financial contributions have culminated in a donation total of $337,509 serving local South Florida charities.
“Love. It’s What Makes a Subaru, a Subaru — and at Subaru of Pembroke Pines, we want to Share the Love with everyone in our community. We want to do our part to help empower the mission of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, and be the voice for all blood cancer patients seeking access to quality, affordable, coordinated care,” said Craig Zinn, President, and CEO at Craig Zinn Automotive Group.
“Our partnership with Subaru Pembroke Pines through the “Subaru Share the Love” program will greatly impact our patients and their families in Broward County with medical co-pay assistance and other free resources. We are grateful to President & CEO, Craig Zinn, General Sales Manager, Duane Massa, and the Subaru of Pembroke Pines Team for helping The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society serve and provide support for our cancer community in their greatest time of need.” said DeAnn Hazey, Executive Director of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Southern Florida Chapter.
