April 12, 2017 – Windhaven® Insurance has named Daniel L. Maloney, an accomplished executive and the former Vice President at Encompass/Allstate, to serve as Senior Vice President of Sales for the Miami-based auto insurance carrier, Jimmy E. Whited, Windhaven® Insurance CEO, announced today.
Maloney’s top priority, said Whited, is to respond to the needs of Windhaven’s dedicated local independent agents in ways that will ignite their business.
“We are confident that Dan will significantly bolster our sales strategies in Florida and Texas, ready Windhaven for further state and product expansion, and continue to hone the skills of our impressive sales team to achieve maximum growth,” said Charles Baumberger, Chief Marketing Officer, at Windhaven. “We believe he’ll accomplish a lot, fast, while trading in his suit for jeans or shorts.”
A former Vice President for Sales and Marketing at Encompass, Maloney brings more than two decades of experience in building and managing high-performance sales and product development teams to Windhaven® Insurance.
“I cannot wait to dig in, roll-up my sleeves and start working with the sales and leadership teams,” said Maloney. “The culture and the complete focus on independent agent success really attracted me here. I believe the innovation within Windhaven and especially the disruption the Clutch Analytics team is producing with Clutch Insurance is really the future of our industry for independent agents.”
During his tenure at Encompass, Maloney was responsible for all distribution and marketing functions including the management of approximately 2,800 independent agents and national brokers as well as some 100 field and inside sales representatives.
Maloney also spent 13 years at Kemper Specialty, most recently as Vice President of the South Central Region, where he was responsible for private passenger auto and light commercial insurance across a network of more than 2, 200 independent agents. He also has served in a managerial role at the Great American Insurance Company.
Maloney earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration with an emphasis in finance from Texas Christian University, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude. He also completed the Executive Education Program with high honors at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
